My ongoing personal work tends to focus in the portraiture field. I am intrigued by the diversity of people that inhabit areas in Britain and the ways in which individuals are shaped by social conditions and cultural ideologies. Themes such as gender, sexuality, class, fashion, etcetera all become an integral part of us as subjects and I definitely like to reflect and highlight this throughout my practice. My portraits reflect a preoccupation with the human condition and I always attempt to employ a social documentary style when depicting my subjects and set out to emphasise themes concerning social and cultural diversity with open candour and frankness. Some commissioned work that I have done include weddings, portfolio images for models and Press and live performance shots for local bands.
